Tuesday, February 26, 2019 – Spent a couple of hours getting my shuttles, flights and adventures rescheduled this morning, followed by a lazy breakfast at the hotel.
If I’d known Waco was so close, I would have at least considered renting a car for the day and gone to see Joanna & Chip 😊 The bluebonnets are apparently just starting to bloom, so they would have been nice to see as well.
Instead, I bought a $15 mini carry on roller bag because my shoulders hurt from schlepping my backpack. Well, $20 bag after it took a chunk outta my finger that wouldn’t stop bleeding, so later had to go to urgent care at DFW for a $5 cleaning and tight bandage 🤕
Definitely the highlight of my day was time spent wandering at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens. It’s early spring here, so lots of daffodils and violas in bloom, with tulips and hyacinths peeping up here and there. In a couple of months, I’m sure it’ll be amazingly beautiful with crepe myrtle, azaleas, hydrangeas and lots of other beautiful plants. I’m unable to upload photos at this time, so will try to catch up with that later. I’ll try posting a few on FB.
Am currently sitting at DFW listening to an announcement that my flight is delayed by at least an hour and ten minutes. Not very pleased with American Airlines right now.
